We all know that small brick and mortar stores need our help, more than ever. I'll be posting updates about stores who are hanging on tight and open for business.
If you're in the Canandaigua, New York area, go check out Aubergine!
Owner Mary Ellen and her husband Steve opened up shop on Main Street last fall. Focused on design and social responsibility, they curated a store that has superb tableware and gifts, and with a great sense of humor to boot.
Of course, Mary Ellen and Steve did not anticipate operating a brick and mortar store during a pandemic, and they've rolled with the punches and opened back up in early June with safety measures in mind. They also sell on their website, so if you're looking for a socially responsibly produced gift, Aubergine is your shop!
Aubergine has my Bibs and Burp Cloth Sets in stock, and might still have some Coffee Sleeves from the holiday season, but you'll have to go and check to see if they have any sleeves left. :) I'm so grateful to have my line at Aubergine. Go forth and shop small!
Hey there, I'm Holly Marsh (Maker/Illustrator/Mama/Nerd), the force behind MarshMueller. I started the company in 2011 after getting frustrated with the ho-hum options in big box stores when creating my first son's woodland-animal-themed nursery. I hand-pick every fabric, thread color, and zipper, design my own sewing patterns, and moosh them all together to create rad products for parents and gift-givers in my Astoria, Oregon studio (aka MarshMueller Secret Labs).
